衛福部疾管署5月23日公布國內首例本土登革熱病例，為一名居住於高雄市前鎮區的60多歲男性。5月23日因出現發燒、頭痛及肌肉痠痛等症狀前往診所就醫，確診為登革熱，密切接觸者2人無疑似症狀。

顯現登革熱本土疫情已經開始出現，因近期氣溫攀升且各地多雨，易引發病媒蚊孳生，且境外移入病例持續增加。

提醒師長同仁，請加強巡查戶內外雨後易積水處，特別是雨後48小時，更應嚴格落實「巡、倒、清、刷」原則，澈底清除戶內外積水容器，巡查時務必做好個人防蚊措施，避免被蚊蟲叮咬。如遇住所周圍有確診個案，請配合衛生單位防治作業，以利有效防治疫情擴散。

On May 23, the Taiwan Centers for Disease Control (CDC) announced the first locally acquired dengue fever case in Taiwan, a man in his 60s residing in Qianzhen District, Kaohsiung City. He sought medical attention at a clinic on May 23 due to symptoms including fever, headache, and muscle aches, and was diagnosed with dengue fever. Two close contacts showed no suspected symptoms.

This indicates that a local dengue fever outbreak has begun. Recent temperature increases and frequent rainfall across the country have created favorable conditions for mosquito breeding, and the number of imported cases continues to rise.

Teachers and colleagues are reminded to strengthen inspections of areas prone to water accumulation indoors and outdoors after rain, especially within 48 hours after rain. Strictly implement the "inspect, empty, clean, and scrub" principle to thoroughly remove containers of standing water indoors and outdoors. When inspecting, be sure to take personal mosquito prevention measures to avoid mosquito bites. If there are confirmed cases in your neighborhood, please cooperate with health authorities in prevention and control efforts to effectively prevent the spread of the disease.
